Louis V. Kosnett, of counsel
Louis V. Kosnett is an Associate Attorney at Kosnett Law Firm, bringing over a decade of experience in the legal industry, starting as a law clerk and paralegal in 2007. After earning his bachelor's degree in Political Science with a minor in History from the University of California, Davis in 2005, Louis went on to attend Southwestern Law School in Los Angeles. There, he was awarded the Dean’s Merit Award, as well as CALI and Witkin Awards for academic excellence, and was one of a select few to graduate with his name on the Dean’s List. After graduating and passing the California Bar Examination on his first attempt in 2014, Louis began practicing administrative and criminal law alongside his father, James Victor Kosnett, at Kosnett Law Firm. Throughout law school, Louis worked during the day as a Legal Clerk and Paralegal at the firm, balancing his studies in the evenings.
Louis’ practice focuses primarily on criminal defense. He has drafted motions, negotiated settlements, and represented clients in court across a variety of criminal cases. In addition to his work at Kosnett Law Firm, Louis gained substantial legal experience working as a Clerk for the Law Offices of Kosnett & Durchfort, as well as a Paralegal at Kosnett Law Firm during his time in law school. He was also selected to extern for the office of the Los Angeles District Attorney, where he conducted preliminary hearings and assisted the prosecution in trials.
Louis was admitted to the California State Courts and the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California in 2014. He is a member of the State Bar of California, the Los Angeles County Bar Association, and the Beverly Hills Bar Association.
